The tallest building in Ann Arbor with just under 300 units total, Tower Plaza was constructed in 1969 as luxury apartments which were later converted into condominiums during the late 1980s. Residents here enjoy amazing views of downtown, Michigan stadium and campus along with direct access to the shops, bars and restaurants of Ann Arbor. Its proximity to University of Michigan Central Campus has kept Tower Plaza as a desirable choice for many UMich students, graduate students and faculty & staff.
Tower Plaza has 24hr security and is one of few downtown condominium buildings with its own doorman. Construction is concrete with large glass pane windows showcasing views of downtown. Condominium association fees (as of writing this in 2021) cover cable, exterior maintenance, snow removal, 24hr security w/ doorman, gas, water, and trash; association fees are based on unit size.
Units in Tower Plaza are predominately 1-bedroom and studio style (ranging in size from 383sf - 700sf), with a handful of larger 2-bedroom units at the top of the building which are just over 1000sf. Many units here are updated very nicely while other units in the building are ready for update.
