A classic favorite of EMU professors and staff, College Heights is arguably one of the best and most desired neighborhoods in town. The area features an eclectic blend of architecture and being that it was established in the early 1900’s by EMU professors, the architecture ranges from the roaring 20’s-style farm houses all the way up to the late 1970’s modern ranches, and dutch and greek-style colonials.
Residents can expect quiet, serene, tree-lined streets and superb walkability. Conveniently located on the bus line to Ann Arbor and within walking distance of shops, dining, and night life, it’s no wonder why residents love Ypsi’s College Heights neighborhood. Just at the edge of College Heights, along Washtenaw Ave are some of our favorite local family-owned restaurants which you should definitely check out: Lucky 7 Chinese, La Torre Taqueria, and Dom Bakeries.
